In December 2020, Jamarra told The Age that he tried to model himself on the Sydney Swans star: ‘I just use him as a person that sets goals for me… Everyone has that person you want to become, or even do better [than].’
He is the first Indigenous player to be taken at pick one since Des Headland in 1998, and becomes the first Bulldog to top the AFL draft since Brownlow Medallist Adam Cooney had his name called out first in 2003.
Mia, who is the stepdaughter of Carlton great Brendan Fevola, 40, will no doubt become a WAG to watch in Jamarra’s upcoming season.
