Floyd Mayweather’s crossover fight with Logan Paul has been confirmed for Sunday June 6 in Miami after an announcement from the former’s promotion team.

The exhibition contest will see the undefeated Mayweather take on YouTuber-turned boxer Paul, who last fought against fellow online star KSI in November 2019.

The fight was set to take place in February of this year but was postponed, but the Sunday fight has now been confirmed at the Hard Rock Arena in Miami.

In a tweet on Tuesday night, Mayweather’s promotional team described the fight as a ‘historic crossover event’ as the YouTube boxing phenomenon continues to take over the sport.

It is the third time that Mayweather has been involved in a crossover event in recent years.

The veteran took on UFC icon Conor McGregor in a £215million fight back in August 2017, which he won.

The 44-year-old last fought on New Year’s Eve 2018 when he knocked out Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.

Paul, 26, is joined in the YouTube boxing world by his brother Jake, 24, who beat former MMA star Ben Askren earlier this month to continue his undefeated career.

Jake has also beaten former professional basketball player Nate Robinson and British YouTuber AnEnsonGib in his early career.

The fight will take place on a Sunday so not to clash with a pay-per-view fight with Triller on Saturday June 5.

The social media platform has that date booked for a lightweight world title fight between Teofimo Lopez and his mandatory challenger George Kambosos.
